Galaxy S6 | The Future Of Smartphones

Samsung’s making a strong foundation with its Galaxy line up of smartphones offering premium experience in a not so cheap body, all covered in a plastic shell off course. But this doesn’t stop Samsung from becoming the major smartphone dealer, because what it packs inside that plastic body is something innovative improving with each iteration of the Galaxy line up.
Galaxy S6 review
Galaxy S6 Body

Galaxy S6’s predecessor, the S5 had a plastic body, polycarbonate in tech language to be precise. Although sturdy enough, the phone was prone to scuffs and cracks while the extra bezel protects the screen from shattering. The Galaxy S6 will be a premium like the Galaxy Note 4, the next in line phablet. Like the Note 4 which is all rumoured to have an all metal casing, the Galaxy S6 will be coming with aluminium edges and a metal rear side promising better protection from dents, scratches and other beating that you can give to the smartphone. While this is premium to say, it has something nifty under the metal casing, one which we saw in the Galaxy S5 recently, the IP certified rating for dust proof and waterproof capabilities. Take a dive or wander in the desert or any dusty sandy areas for that matter, your Galaxy S6 will survive.

Galaxy S6 Display

AMOLED is the word that comes to mind when we talk about Galaxy lineups, because the technology itself had a huge impact on smartphone users. The AMOLED panel promises a vivid multimedia experience in any lighting condition. Reaching the 1080P range, the AMOLED panel in Galaxy S5 almost beat the IPS LCD panels in readability in direct sunlight. The Galaxy S6 is speculated to have either a QHD panel with a total resolution of 2560x1440 in a 5.5 inch panel or a 3840x2160 in the same 5.5 inch panel, yes 4K all the way. No matter how you look at it, vivid is the term that could describe the display. 4K or QHD, the Galaxy S6 will be your ideal multimedia partner.

Galaxy S6 Camera

Samsung’s ISOCELL technology proved its worth with stellar performance in the Galaxy S5 and shooting for top ranking DXOMARK. The Note 4 is rumoured to have a 12 Megapixel camera with OIS, but the Galaxy S6 is going all the way to 20 Megapixel mark. OIS or Digital is the question, but either way the Galaxy S6 promises to give perfectly balanced and exposed pics in any lighting condition. 4K being a standard, we might also be seeing a bump in frames too, with 4K being offered in 60fps.

Galaxy S6 Processor

The Galaxy S6 is going to be a powerhouse offering best in line hardware and software experience. As is always, there will be two variants with a Qualcomm SoC and Samsung’s in house Exynos  SoC. The Qualcomm one will be a Snapdragon 810 coupled with 3GB of LPDDR4 RAM and the other with Exynos 6, an octa core variant with the same memory module. Either way, the Galaxy S6 is a powerhouse, and the new SoCs will be bringing in a slew of features including the all new 64 bit architecture to Android although Samsung Galaxy Note 4 might have it beat with its Exynos 5433.

Sony Xperia Z3 beast smartphone: Coming Soon

Sony Xperia Z series is now one of top leading series of Sony in smartphones. Already this lineup includes pretty high-end solution including Xperia Z2. No doubt, every brand is trying to overcome the competition and that’s why they are launching a phone in every two or three months. Last month only, Xperia Z2 made its entry in the market and now rumors are confirming the early release of Sony Xperia Z3.

Sony Xperia Z3 would be the beast smartphone to have next generation system on chipset i.e. Snapdragon 810. This is the very first 64-bit chip processor from the Snapdragon. Also, the chipset would allow the support of 4GB RAM, on-board 128GB memory and 4K-resolution display support. Yes, all these things together may appear in Xperia Z3 and it would be verdict in all-leading phones of the 2014.
Sony Xperia Z3
If you are expecting the phone to appear in the market in next two months then you might be wrong, as Xperia Z2 is not too old in the market. It is just recently released but few of the web sources are claiming the early release i.e. later July or early August. But as per the possibility Z3 may make its entry in the month of September or October.

Xperia Z series is already popular because of its massive camera sensor and yes Xperia Z3 would maintain the features and specification of this lineup. In the market few of the smartphones have really good camera sensors for example, OnePlus One smartphone has really good sensor and Analyst are comparing its quality with the DSLR cameras. So, you can expect what would be happening in next 6 months. You won’t need to carry heavy cameras on your trip; your phone would do all things. Already, Xperia Z2 has pretty good camera quality and Z3 would take it to another level.

Competition pressure is not only for the Sony, other leading brands like Samsung and HTC are also the part of it. Recent releases like HTC One M8 and Samsung Galax S5 are pretty good phones in the market but not revolutionary. Now market needs something revolutionary and every brand is trying to do something similar. Early release rumor is not just related to Sony Xperia Z3. But there are other upcoming beasts, which might be released earlier, then their possible date of release.

Few weeks ago, there were rumors regarding the Galaxy Note 4 that it might make its entry in early August while other members of Note series has appeared after the month of August every year. And similar is leaked for Google Nexus 6. You can’t expect those rumors to be true but still the possibility and reasons mentioned are little worth believing. Let’s see how would be the final shape of all the most awaiting smartphone of 2014 including Galaxy Note 4, Xperia Z3, Nexus 6 and Galaxy S6. There is still lot more to discover, don’t forget Apple will also release its next generation iPhone i.e. iPhone 6 in couple of months.

Galaxy Note 4:Features| Design| Release Date| Specs

The world is now eagerly waiting for the much hyped Galaxy Note 4 phablet to be introduced in the market. Bits of news concerning this device have already started surfacing showing that this device is not far away from launching. Smartphone lovers will tell you that this is the ultimate smartphone you can get in the world upon its release later this year. Rumor has it that it will come with new technology that has not been used in any smartphone ever before. You can therefore rest assured that it will be a unique device worth checking out.
Galaxy Note 4
Release Date
Details emerging from within the giant tech company indicate that this much awaited device will  be launched in September. In an interview with Korean Bloomberg, Samsung mobile Executive Vice President, Lee Young Hee indicated that this device will be released in the second half of the year.
Though he didn’t give the exact month for the release, we can estimate the release month. By narrowing the time span He stated, we can calculate September to be the release month. There are reasons for this. One, Samsung is likely to maintain the tradition of letting their smartphone sell for one full year before the release of the next smartphone. Last year in September at IFA stage in Germany, Samsung released the current number one phablet, Galaxy Note 3. It is thus expected that this year in September, Samsung may take the stage at IFA once again to unveil the Galaxy Note 4 phablet.
Another reason is that Samsung is yet to release Samsung Galaxy S5. This other brand is expected in the market a while before the Galaxy Note 4 phablet. This is the reason that the giant tech company is concentrating on issuing info concerning the S5 smartphone. Samsung has always stuck to leaking info concerning the product that is next to be released and safeguarding info on a product not about to be released. It is expected that much news on this Note 4 phablet will be available in July as it nears release.
Design
One thing that is for sure to change is the design of the Galaxy Note 4 phablet. It is expected Samsung will use a metallic flagship on this device. This will see Samsung drop the plastic flagship that characterized all its previous smartphones.
Specifications
Other specifications expected to change include
Camera
Processor

Camera
Galaxy Note 4 is expected to come with an advanced camera capability. It is reported that Samsung is developing a 16 MP camera complete with an OIS (Optical Image Stabilizer). This is expected to greatly boost the image quality of the smartphone.
Processor
Rumor has it that we should expect a 64-bit processor in this device. This will be quite a powerful processor in the Note 4 phablet that will increase the speed of the smartphone.
Galaxy Note 4 phablet is expected to be one device in its own class. Samsung is known for its high technology and it has dedicated to make this phablet a masterpiece.

Google Nexus 6 is Getting Ready to Set New Records

The industry is a buzz with rumors on upcoming Smartphones. One of them is LG G3, the other one is Google Nexus 6. The rumor mill seems to produce new rumors on these devices everyday, more so because LG is said to be the manufacturer of Nexus 6. Samsung Galaxy S5, HTC One M8 and iPhone 6 will also release in this year. The whole attention is currently on Nexus 6 and G3.

Rumors on LG G3 hinted that Nexus 6 could have design and features similar to G3. As those rumors somewhat undermined Nexus 6, industry observers dug deep and came to the decision that Nexus 6 will have some independent features which are quite interesting.  One should keep in mind that chief competitors of Nexus 6 will be Apple iPhone 6, Samsung Galaxy S5 and HTC One M8. Google therefore, needs to equip its next Nexus device impeccably so it could take those competitors.

Some of the features that industry sources expect in Nexus 6 are stunning display, Smartwatch extension and Android 4.5. The display of Nexus 6 will be highly similar to LG G3. Some sourced reported Nexus 6 will have a 6.3 inch screen with Quad HD display. Nexus 6 could have 2560 x 1440 resolution display, same as G3.

Moreover, as Google's Chromecast TV dongle enables users to view live streaming of web content in television, some are even speculating that Nexus 6 will allow users to view internet based content on their handset. It's not a far-fetch speculation because Chromecast TV is Google's own product and this is a golden opportunity for Google to market it. Besides, the 2K resolution of Nexus 6'S screen is perfect to watch live streaming.
Google Nexus 6 specifications
There is possibility that Nexus 6 releases with Smartwatch. LG and Motorola are two companies behind manufacturing Smartwatch. While Motorola is owned by Lenovo now, there will be not be changes in the product lineup that are scheduled to release. LG on the other hand is the manufacturing partner with Google to build Nexus 6. Some analysts held Google's basic idea was to surprise users with a Smartwatch that acts as a remote controller for mobile phone as well.

Nexus 6 is likely to feature a new Android OS. Google may update Android 4.4 KitKat. If that happens, Nexus 6 might release with the updated Android version. According to some, it will be Android 4.5 Lolipop or Lion Bar. There is another possibility although not much likely. Nexus 6 may release with Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie. However, there hasn't been any indication from any corner that this will happen.

The release date of Nexus 6 is not yet decided. Sundar Pichai, the VP of Google's Android division earlier said Nexus 6 could be released in October this year. A late Q3 or early Q4 release date is quite likely as by the same time, other competitor devices will also show up. During this year's MWC, Mr. Pichai made it clear that Nexus 6 is not coming in the first half of this year. This year's Google I/O is where Nexus 6 could be showcased for the first time and we will get to know all the specs of the device.

However if the rumors turn true, with a 6.3 inch screen, 3GB RAM, 16MP rear camera and new version of Android, Nexus could easily set new records. There's no doubt of it.

The New iPads Have (Almost) Everything You'd Want Them To

1. Introducing the "iPad Air"
The air is smaller. Way Smaller.
  • 43% smaller "bezels" (the strips on the sides)
  • 1lb down from 1.9 lbs
  • 7.5mm thick down from 9.4mm
2. It's 8x Faster
  • Open Apps 2x faster
  • Renders files 2x faster
  • Same chip that's in the iPhone 5s
3. Improved Camera
  • The iSight Camera uses larger pixels to create a much more full and high resolution image
  • Record videos in 1080p HD (up from 720p)
  • Now with two microphones which will help improve the Facetime experience
4. Graphics are 2x Better
With a 64 bit operating system and new M7 chip the graphics are drastically improved. (For those keeping tack these are the same specs as the new iPhone 5s). The improved performance is good news for gamers, as the graphics will move much more fluidly for an all-together improved gaming experience.
5. It Finally Comes in Black
Finally the iPad is available in the awesome black that is already available for the iPhones. The matte black is extremely attractive and gives the tablet a more rugged feel. Look for this color to sell very well when it is first released.
6. $499 for Wifi Version, $629 for LTE Version
Also now the iPad 2 is only $399 which is a bargain for a still incredibly powerful tool. The $629 version works on wireless networks so there is a monthly fee attached to it. The $499 option doesn't have a monthly fee but only works where WIFI is available.
7. Introducing the "iPad Mini Retina"
The iPad Mini Retina is the newest installment in the Mini iPad series. The key difference from its predecessor is that it sports a Retina Display, which is a fancy way of saying it has a super high resolution screen. Apple feels this is such a selling point that they put "Retina" in its name. But there are other improvements as well.
8. Navigate 4x Faster, 8x Better Graphics
The iPad Mini Retina (wow that is a mouthful) has more to offer than just a higher resolution screen, it's also much faster. Opening applications and flipping between them will be up to 4x faster with the new model. Also graphics will be 8x better for all you Angry Bird fans out there.
9. Same Price
It is the same price ($399) as it's predecessor, but the older iPad Mini is now only $299 which is a pretty solid deal. The fact that they could not put the fingerprint ID technology into either one of the iPads will likely be scrutinized on the web for weeks to come, though.
10. Still 10 Hour Battery Life
Despite the improvements of the screen, graphics, and processing speeds, the iPad Mini Retina will still sport a 10 hour battery life. Whether your iPad actually lasts 10 hours when using it to its full potential is a whole different story, but at least it is a possibility.

IRIS IRISCAN Book 3 Executive Full Review and Specifications

REVIEW
IRIS IRISCAN Book 3 Executive Full Review and SpecificationsMany mobile document scanners need a PC to work, but the IRIScan Book 3 Executive is different. It is a thin, light weight scanner that takes its power from four AAA batteries and scans directly to a micro SD card a 2GB card is included. Scans can be transferred to a PC using the memory card, a USB connection or the IRIScan Book 3 Executive’s built-in WiFi adaptor. The built-in WiFi is also a convenient way to send scanned documents to smartphones and tablets via the free Android and iOS apps (www.snipca.com/9571 and 9572 respectively). The scanner does not have a wireless pass-through mode though, so your mobile device can not be connected to the internet and scanner simultaneously it must be one or the other.
IRIS IRISCAN Book 3 Executive Full Review and Specifications
Once connected the app lets you download and view scans, open them in another app, or email them. You can save scans as PDF or Jpeg files and crop or scribble on them using your finger. All this makes scanning and sharing document is easy if you are away from home and do not have a laptop to hand. It also means you can cut down on the amount of kit you need to carry around with you. You can also connect to the Book 3 Executive through a web browser, which is handy if you are using it with your laptop. The web interface lets you download or delete scans. The IRIScan may be small but it is sturdy. However, we did not like its rattling WiFi switch and dim status lights. There are buttons that let you toggle between 300, 600 and 900 dpi scan resolutions and switch between colour and black-and-white scans, while a third button starts and stops the scan.
IRIS IRISCAN Book 3 Executive Full Review and Specifications
Unlike most other document scanners, the Book 3 Executive does not have a tray into which you feed documents. Instead, you have to move the entire scanner across a stationary document. While this can be cumbersome, it does let you scan bulky originals that would defeat a typical sheet-fed scanner. It took a few attempts for us to get the movement speed right for the different resolutions and formats, but most A4 scans took less than 10 seconds. Going too fast or losing contact with the page generates an error, which means you will have to start again. The supplied Direct Mode software lets you scan to a PC via a USB connection. It is very basic, with options for colour and horizontal/vertical scan orientation. Scans are transferred to your PC’s clipboard, so they can be pasted and saved in graphics software such as Microsoft Paint. While not great, the image quality is fine for archiving document s and for optical character recognition (OCR) with the supplied Read iris Pro 14 software. It is a useful program which, bought seperately, costs £65. It performed well in our test, only failing to recognise a few words in a paragraph of small print. We tried getting the same OCR results by shooting a document with our Nexus 4 phone’s camera and then feeding it through the program, but this was less accurate and the character-recognition process much slower.

You can also set scanned documents to be uploaded automatically to online storage services such as Dropbox or EvernoteAlthough the IRIScan Book 3 Executive’s design makes it ill-suited for scanning lot s of documents consecutively, it is still a useful device. Its diminutive size and built-in WiFi makes scanning while out and about much easier. If you need a highly portable scanner that you can use with your tablet or smartphone, then the IRIScan Book 3 Executive is for you.
