Best Android Tablet Games of 2013

Mobile devices offer a number of benefits that come in handy in today’s modern world, such as the ability to work and communicate while on the go. They also make it easier than ever to goof off with a fun and diverting game.Apple is known for its App Store, which features no shortage of video games in mobile-app form. And while Android devices haven’t been on the market nearly as long as the iPhone, the Google Play store is beginning to catch up. Now, there are more games than ever for Android phones and tablets — far too many to mention in a single list. So in the interest of narrowing the playing field, here are some of the very best games for Android devices in 2013.
best-android-tablet-games

Dead Trigger” —Free
If there’s a better stress reliever than mowing down wave after wave of zombies, it hasn’t come to light yet. This first-person shooter has everything going for it: easy controls, post-apocalyptic landscapes and a plethora of undead-obliterating weaponry.

Bad Piggies” —Free
Rovio achieved great fame with a little app featuring ill-tempered members of the avian family. This entry focuses on the antagonists of that wildly popular franchise: the pigs. Like “Angry Birds,”“Bad Piggies” offers highly creative game mechanics that challenge players to create vehicles in which to launch their porcine cohorts into the sky.

Kingdom Rush” — $2.00
Tower defense games are known for being addictive, and Kingdom Rush is no exception. This action/fantasy game features simple yet endearingly cartoonish graphics that render a world filled with orcs, elves, wizards and warriors. The goal of the player is to do battle and defend his or her territory across a number of landscapes, from charred wastelands to verdant forests. Kingdom Rush offers a dizzying array of upgrades and abilities as well as nine different heroes from which to choose.

Pirates Showdown” — $3.00
Those who have a soft spot for real-time strategy games will likely enjoy this entry, as it delivers fun RTS combat in a fairly original setting: the high seas. Players take on the role of swashbuckling pirates, with the point of the game being to loot and plunder your way to fame and fortune. Players can build up a fleet of ships and take to the Caribbean in order to flex their pirate muscles.

Fruit Ninja” — $3.00
An oldie but a goodie, “Fruit Ninja” achieves exactly what it set out to do: offer players a platform from which to hack away at virtual fruit with a virtual samurai sword. While this may not exactly be in keeping with the storied tradition of the actual Japanese samurai, it does help to pass the time on those long commuter trips. After all, a budding honor-bound assassin has to start somewhere.

With these games downloaded to an Android device, the user should be able to while away as much time as his or her lifestyle will allow killing zombies, slicing watermelon, launching pigs into the sky and whatever else his or her little gaming heart desires.

Razer Orbweaver - Lefty Gaming Gear Full Review

At first glance, Razer’s Orbweaver gamepad can look quite daunting: 20 mechanical keys and an eight-direction thumbstick, which itself has another button and a thumb lever, all attached to a two-piece wrist and palm rest. The whole thing looks like it belongs in an airplane cockpit, and not attached to a gaming rig. Despite this, once you actually get down to using the Orbweaver, we found it to be pleasingly comfortable and straightforward. The Orbweaver is ready to go, straight out of the box, with its keys configured to mirror the left side of your keyboard - WASD is configured to buttons 8, 12, 13, and 14 respectively (as denoted by the arrows).
The keys themselves use cherry MX Blue switches (the same type found in Razer’s BlackWidow mechanical keyboard), and have a fairly short travel distance, with minimal actuation force required (just 50g of force to be precise), and a nice tactile bump. The backlit keys help for late night gaming sessions and, although you can’t customize the green color, you can set it to pulse lighting mode, or turn it off altogether. Strangely enough, the cable is the regular plastic type, not the usual high-end braided variety found on most of Razer’s other products.
As mentioned, the Orbweaver is very comfortable to use, with both the wrist rest length and palm rest angle adjustable to suit your hand. The thumbstick module can also be adjusted. The Orbweaver is much more comfortable compared to most keyboards, especially over long gaming sessions, as keyboards rarely have sufficient (or any) support, which can lead to wrist strain. By default, the Orbweaver’s thumbstick mirrors the arrow keys on your keyboard, while the thumb lever functions as the spacebar. This lets you use the thumbstick to control your character, and the thumb lever to jump, although, unless you have a huge thumb, it can be a bit tricky to do both at the same time. One minor quirk is that ‘Up’ on the thumbstick is actually positioned about 45 degrees off to the right, as indicated by a small arrow. This makes sense based on the direction your thumb will be pointing in with your hand on the device, but is not immediately intuitive to use.
While the Orbweaver does work straight out of the box, you will get more mileage out it by using it with Razer’s Synapse 2.0 software. Synapse 2.0 allows you to easily configure the Orbweaver’s buttons by remapping and customizing them. It also gives you full macro capabilities, which can then be bound to any key. All twenty keys on the Orbweaver are easily within reach and we actually found that the thumbstick buttons and lever worked better as Shift, Alt and control modifiers rather than movement controls. Using them as such gives you easy access to 60 keybinds – more than enough to satisfy even the most diehard of MMO gamers.
Fans of Razer’s previous gamepad, the nostromo, will likely be interested in the Orbweaver. However, we did not feel that it was that much of a leap forward. MMO gamers will probably find the most usage here, as its very comfortable to use for hours on end and provides easy access to a huge numbers of keybinds. Other gamers looking for more macro buttons, or anyone suffering from a lack of wrist support on their keyboard could also be well served by it.
All in all, the Orbweaver is a nice, well-built tool, but at $199.90, which is more expensive than most keyboards for what, you might argue, is only half a keyboard, it’s certainly not for everyone.

At a Glance
  • Keys - 20 keys, 8-directional thumbstick, thumb button, thumb lever.
  • Switches - cherry MX Blue
  • Cable - 1.8m
  • Dimensions - 202 x 154 x 55mm
  • Weight - 395g
  • Price - $ 199.90

Best New Games on iTunes 2013 for iPhone, iPad and iPod

1) Knights of Pen & Paper
In a twist on the usual fantasy fare, this witty retroRPG recreates a session of old-school Dungeons & Dragons, right down to the cans of drink on the table and the social misfits playing (the school bully gets bonuses on his attacks, for instance). You even control the ‘dungeon master’ himself, and get to decide how many monsters to throw at the heroes. Some of the translation work is iffy (the developers are Brazilian) but the jokes are still good, and the game is addictive – particularly collecting weapon upgrades. E3 2013- Who won the Press Conference, Microsoft or Sony?

E3 2013- Who won the Press Conference, Microsoft or Sony?
Hands down, Sony took over the crowd with the PS4 with its gaming, titles, Ease of Access and most importantly, its price. This doesn’t mean Xbox one should be cornered, Wait!! May be it should be left aside. People and specially the Gaming community were dumb struck both at Microsoft’s Reveal event and E3 press conference.  Let’s take a look at each of these consoles, compare them, and find out why is xbox one so supernaturally dumb.

PS4 reveal event highlights

Xbox one reveal event highlights.

At first, we thought that Microsoft would bring gaming to a whole new level with its next gen console. But sadly, all we heard at it’s reveal event was ‘T.V’. Xbox one was revealed as if it was never intended for Gaming community rather for social community. Let’s have a glimpse of its Pros and Cons and then come to a verdict.

Pros
  • Next gen games like Forza motorsport 5, Call Of Duty:ghosts, Quantum Break look impressive on XBOX ONE.
  • Social Sharing at fingertips, live broadcasting and online competitions are truly next gen.
  • Kinect became more powerful alongside the console.
  • Live T.V, NBA streaming, Virtual Point system.
  • Microsoft points converted to local currency.
CONS
  • Always Online- What the fish is Microsoft upto?
  • Xbox one cannot play shared gamed, used games .
  • This engine is not backward compatible with 360 games. How disappointing?
  • Xbox One and Kinect are now married and so you cannot it is not in your hands if you want to buy kinect, YOU HAVE TO.
Verdict:
XBOX One mainly concentrated on Social sharing alongside the gaming. It is not so good and not so bad kind of Next gen console giving entertainment in it’s various forms. T.V and kinect make a great combination, Microsoft promised many exclusive titles and xbox one potential to play those games. We have to wait until we get our hands on the console. For now, we just know one thing from Microsoft, Xbox one is all-in-ONE entertainment system.

PLAYSTATION 4
Sony truly impressed the fans at E3 this year. Playstation 4 was totally concentrated on Gaming with it’s immersive, graphically intensive and most importantly social games.  PS4 and move make a great combination with new games rolling out for the duo. The Architecture, the structures are comparable to that of Xbox One, however PS4 doesn’t trouble you to be always online and other headaches. The next gen console is Clean, easy and lovable.  Social gaming is a key part on PS4 while giving its full power to single player.
Pros
  • This Next Gen console will trench the thirst for a truly Non-AI, Human like experience with games.
  • Exclusive titles like Infamous, final fantasy, uncharted, metal gear solid will be available for PS4 only.
  • The new GAI-KAI technology will connect the gamers across the globe superfast and with precision.
  • Online Multiplayer will be more fun.
  • Not always online.
  • Used games, shared games are playable.
CONS
  • The most liked ‘select’ and ‘start’ are now replaced by ‘share’ and ‘options’ buttons. It takes some time to getting used to it.
  • Nothing else for now.
Verdict:
PS4 is might be the new sexy. Play, Compete, Share, Friends- Ps4’s motive is amazing. The content it provides, the games it plays, the social media it gives, the friends it will bring to you will make you a couch potato with the Dual shock controller in your hand. We still have to find out how it does in real. A full review will be available here as soon as it hits the Markets.
