7 Must Have New Tech Gadgets for 2013

In these tough economic times, a lot of families are cutting back on their spending. Some people have decided that they will not buy any more non-essentials, limiting themselves to just the necessities like food and rent. Other people are making less drastic changes to their lifestyles, but still finding creative ways to save money. For example, many people have decided to cancel their expensive cable accounts and instead switch to cheaper options like Hulu Plus, Netflix, or other lower cost television providers. Many fancy restaurants have seen fewer and fewer patrons come back regularly as they used to, because a lot of these old customers have started cooking for themselves instead of eating out. Many people also recognize that sometimes you need to spend money to save money and are investing in energy efficient upgrades that will cut their energy bills and protect the planet.

But even though some people are spending less money these days, a lot of people are still buying new technology gadgets. There are so many great ones on the market, as well as some not so great ones, and they can be hard to resist. Below are seven must have new tech gadgets for 2013, and there is
really something out there for everyone. So after you have saved some money by eating fewer restaurant meals and spending less on your cable, consider splurging on one of these.

MUST HAVE GADGET #1 – BLACKBERRY Q10

Even though iPhones are generally considered to be the trendier of the smartphone options, BlackBerrys are still very popular, especially in the legal and financial industries. So there is good news for all of those BlackBerry lovers: the new one is great. If you didn’t like the all-touchscreen Z10, then you are in luck because this new model brings back the full keyboard. (It’s that keyboard that made people love their BlackBerrys to begin with, after all!) This one also has a 3.1-inch touchscreen, a 1.5GHz dualcore CPU, a new BB10 operating system, and plenty more.
MUST HAVE GADGET #2 – ROKU

If you are looking to buy a gadget that will save you money in the long run, get yourself a Roku. At only $80, the streaming media player offers more than seven hundred entertainment channels, and even Time Warner Cable is planning on adding its channels. The Roku allows owners to essentially bring their television channels with them, wherever they go.
MUST HAVE GADGET #3 – Apple iTV

Expected to launch in October 2013, the Apple iTV is going to be one of the most anticipated new tech gadgets to hit the market this year. The machines will probably cost about $2,000 and come in sizes ranging from 42 inches to 55 inches. There are rumors that the Apple iTV will come equipped with its own Siri to allow for voice commands.
MUST HAVE GADGET #4 – Xbox 720

Gamers everywhere are getting psyched up for this machine to hit the market. Created by Microsoft, it will have motion detection technology and may project realistic looking 3D images on walls that would be used with Wi-Fi enabled 3D glasses. There may also be a Blu-ray drive on this updated version.
MUST HAVE GADGET #5 – Epson EH-TW9100

If you think projectors are old news, think again. This one can beam 3D images in amazingly high quality. It’s easy to use and comes with 3D glasses, too. Your friends will be so jealous of your new high tech gadget, they may start sticking around more than you like, eventually wearing out their welcome.
MUST HAVE GADGET #6 – Mophie Juice Pack Helium

Ever notice how quickly your iPhone runs through its battery power? It seems like you can barely send off a few emails, listen to a few songs, and check a few maps without going through its entire arsenal. The Mophie Juice Pack Helium is the first battery charging case designed for your phone. It can power six hours of phone time, seven video or net surfing hours, or thirty hours of music.
MUST HAVE GADGET #7 – Roth OLi POWA-5

Expect to see this one in March 2013. It’s an 80W amp loudspeaker with Bluetooth connectivity that will totally change the way you hear your music. Wireless audio at its best, it also comes with plugs for wires if you really want them.
